Can I get a Chirp.

Cal, Bri and I ran out to Runnings the other night while Ellery was at play practice. We got Calvin a new pair of rain boots, a plug for the tub and well we almost went home with a baby chick. I love the last picture, Cal has his sleeves pulled over his hands to hold the chick. They were very cute and I almost caved and let him bring one home...I mean they were only $.99 plus $4.99 for food. But Brian was the party pooper and said no...so I guess the only pets we currently have at home are ....Seamonkeys. Yep. Look those babies up. They were a gift for Calvin from his favorite Aunt Hannah. She is seriously the best. I can't wait until Breck is old enough for some of the awesome gifts he is going to receive from me.....bahahahhaha.

If it were me....

So the other day Ellery, Calvin and myself were over watching Breck. Ellery of course was playing Webkinz on the computer and the boys were wrestling and goofing around. They kept crawling back and forth from the kitchen and living room. Every oh...three minutes or so I would have to say ' Calvin be careful, not so rough with Breck ' or ' Please remember Breck is a baby ' and then repeat, repeat and repeat...all while reading the latest trashy magazine Hannah has subscribed to. So when I see that Hannah is due back in about ten minutes and I want to look like I am properly watching her child, I decide to look for Breck's missing sock. Not to worry he still had one on and it was plenty warm in there. So I start looking through the toys, in the kitchen, under the ottoman, and even asked the kids if they had seen it...a negative from both of them. So I continue to look, probably saying out loud...where in the heck can that sock have gone. FINALLY Calvin says to me..'If it were me, I would look in his back pocket' and sure enough, I grab the Breckster and reach in to his back pocket...and found his SOCK. Mr. Calvin knew it was there the whole time and watched me search around like a crazy lady looking for that darned sock. That boy is turning into his Grandma Shirley, she is famous for say ' If it were me........'...right Shirley??

Happy St. Patricks Day...a few days late

St. Patricks Day is a big deal around our house. It usually means a new shirt just for St. Patricks Day. In the above photo the kids are in there new shirts compliments of Grandma Shirley! Usually we head up to Crookston to celebrate with family, but for some reason it didn't happen this year, but not to worry we celebrated anyway!

Tom and Shirl had us all (Barricks & Jones') for homemade Rueben's. Now I have never had one before, but if Tom was making them from scratch I was going to try one and they were actually really good! Hannah..who loves MEAT..took a bite of one, the look on her face was priceless as she gagged it down. She stuck to the grilled cheese. It was an early night but fun none the less.

Are you feeling lucky?

Hannah, Ellery and I were shopping at Target last weekend. Hannah and I were walking along just browsing at all the stuff we wanted to buy but of course didn't need. Ellery was tagging along behind us. When we turned around we didn't see Ellery, but rather a small leprechaun. Ha. She cracked us up! She wanted to know if we should buy it? No thanks. But I will take a photo for my blog if you don't mind!
