Mind Reader.

Hannah called me at work this afternoon to ask if I wanted to watch Breck. UH DUH.

So I picked up Elle and Cal. On the way over I went over a few rules with Calvin. Calvin needs rules to follow or he will go off the deep end. So I told him that when we got to Hannahs he needed to first take his shoes off and go to the basement bathroom and wash his face and hands (he had just had an ice cream cone, it was all over his face and hands), to be quiet and there would be no running around with his head cut off or I would call his dad and he would come pick him up and babysitting would be over for him.

So we pull up, hop out of the car. As we are walking up to the house I asked him to repeat what I told him in the car (got to keep that boy on his toes and make sure he is listening).

He says: wash my hands and face. CHECK.

Then he thinks and says: be quiet. CHECK.

Then he stalls and I say 'AND' waiting for the last rule and he says:
Don't be stupid. Well, not exactly what I said, but we will count that as a CHECK.

Yes. Don't be stupid. That boy can read my mind. AMAZING.

No Word. Pictures should do!

Junior Master Gardner.

Ellery, Brian and Calvin went out to Stockman's a local nursery and bought me lots of pretty flowers for my birthday. But before the flowers, there was a cake, singing from the wait staff, balloons and jewlery.

Hannah and I taught Sunday school this morning and then we headed to Peters for a benefit breakfast. It was just Brian, myself, Elle, Cal, Hannah and Jerod, my parents are on vacay in Gerogia. I saw that Hannah, Jerod and Ellery were walking in with balloons, fine I can deal with balloons. BUT NO, do you think it stopped with balloons. NOPE. The cute wait staff all dressed in pink (for the breast cancer benefit breakfast) sang the happy birthday song ..you know the one from Applebees. Oh and then Sharon Kotzer brought over a cake (I heart her cakes). Shirl. She is good, she had this all planned before she left. Her birthday is in July. It is coming up soon. Mhhhh.

Oh but she did get me a super cute pair of Silpada earings!! TOTALLY worth the embarrassment.

Oh and Grandma Eleanor sends us $25.00 for our birthday. Hannah, Missy and myself went and had pedicures yeterday. Thanks Grandma Eleanor!

Oh and one more thing. My birthday isn't even until tomorrow. I'm just making it a three day event! Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Twins Fans.

Calvin, Brian, Grandpa Tom & Grandpa Red, went to the Twins game the other day. Calvin dressed in his baseball pants, twins jersey, twins hat, twins jacket & cleats oh and lets not forget that he took his foam finger. I think it is pretty special that he has both of his grandpas to enjoy and by the looks of it they had a pretty good time. But WHY does he have to make goofy faces on every other picture he takes...

Good Aim??

Everything seems to happen bright and early in the morning and why should this morning be any different?

I was getting ready this morning, doing my hair and make-up and the boy comes barreling into the bathroom, he typically likes to wait for the very last minute to take a whiz. He just prefers to possibly pee on himself or my bathroom floor. It's what he does.

So when I turn around because I hear pee hitting the floor, it's not because he was in a rush, SHOCK. Nope it was because he was at least a foot away from the toilet peeing. He was leaning back, trying his best to aim for the toilet. I started screaming at him, asking what he was doing. He looks at me, walks over to flush the toilet, not that there was pee in there to flush, and says 'I was seeing how far I could stand from the toilet and make it'. Well I told him a foot is obviously too far and that from now on I want his legs to touch the toilet when he pees. He looks at me like, sure mom whatever floats your boat and leaves to go get dressed. While I pull out my handy dandy Chlorox wipes (that are ALWAYS by the side of the toilet) and clean up his mess. AGAIN.

These shoes are made for walking...

I caught Hannah eying these babies yesterday. If you could see her poor swollen pregnant stubs, I mean feet you would understand why. Ah, the joys of pregnancy! I can't wait for baby Barrick to get here, so I can hold him and SQUEEZE him and Hannah can get her feet back.

Family Bike Ride.

Last night it was beautiful, a bit windy, but a perfect night to be outside. We went on our first family bike ride with Calvin ...NOT using training wheels. He is super proud and only ran into the curb about a dozen times, it's like the curb sucks him in and he can't stop. Really it's quite funny...don't worry he has a helmet on!!

So we stopped over at a park that has one of the old fashioned four person teeter totters, like pictured above. We all decided to get on and get that thing rockin'. I said wow this really hurts my legs and Brian chimes in and says this really hurts my...and didn't finished his sentence...(but you know what he was thinking), but Ellery quickly says, I know Dad it really hurts my hands too. YES hands, that was exactly what he was thinking ;)

Then we biked home and got the kids in the shower. You know Summer/Spring is officially here when you have to shower the kids every night. Calvin is beyond filthy every night..to me it means he played hard and had a great day, just what a kid should be doing!

Wimpy Kid Journal.

I found Ellery's Diary of a Wimpy Kid, this entry was made about a year ago:

PREDICT THE FUTURE:

Your Five Bold Predictions For The Future -

1. I will be pruidint (president).
2. My brother will be gone!
3. I will not be bad, I will be good.
4. I will meet Hannah Montana.
5. I will have a dog.

My thoughts:

1. She can be the president as long as she is a republian.
2. I hope he won't be gone, just maybe they will be living in their own houses.
3. I hope this will be her college motto! Yeah Right.
4. She just told me she doesn't like Hannah Montana anymore, she would rather meet Carly from iCarly. GREAT.
5. Yep she will have to wait until she has her own house. NO DOGS HERE EVER.

Skeletons.

Go ahead, make a fist and then punch yourself under your chin. Did you teeth clatter together? Did it feel good? Pefect.

Calvin was sitting at the counter the other day, mouth open and starts punching himself under the chin.

Brian and I looked at him, then at each other and then him again. WHAT was he doing?

Calvin laughed and says, 'didn't that sound like a skeleton?'

Uhm sure Calvin, but unless you want to crack a tooth, I wouldn't be doing that again.

What a nugget.

Kindergarten.

This photos was taken a few years ago. A few years ago Calvin was THREE. Now he is soon to turn FIVE.

I officially signed him up for All Day Everyday Kindergarten. It's a sad day for me. He is growing up so fast. I have been hemming and hawing for months about whether he is ready to go. He is and has been all along, I just wasn't ready to admit it.

He is so excited to ride the bus.

The only thing I am NERVOUS about is his peanut allergy, so I best make an appointment with the school nurse and get things situated, September will be here before I know it!

Cheers to the Easter Bunny.

So I googled Easter Bunny looking for an image...and this came up. Just the warm and fuzzy image I had in mind...what the??? It made me laugh, so I thought I'd share ...

I, I mean the Easter Bunny just got done hiding eggs for the kids. This year instead of candy in the eggs I, I mean the Easter Bunny put quarters inside the eggs. It's not because the EB was unprepared (just a little maybe), nope it was because the kids really don't need MORE candy for Easter.

At 9:30 tonight, Calvin says I hope the EB brings me that ball (big blue plastic ball) from Wal-Mart. Brian looks at me like, 'oh shit'. BECAUSE the other day I was with Ellery at Wal-Mart and she wanted the same thing in white. Which I later went and got for her, but not Cal, because I didn't know he wanted one. Sooooo Brian had to quick run an 'errand'...to Wal-Mart to get the blue ball for Calvin.

That EB rocks.

I think that EB deserves an Easter beer!

Cheers and Happy Easter.
