How to properly say goodbye.

Calvin and his dad were having a 'last minute' conversation before bed in the hallway, Calvin warned that I shouldn't be listening, so I pretended to walk down the stairs. Calvin told his dad the next time he (his dad) is at the arena talking to his friends, dad needs to say this to his friends...sing this to his friends:

Hands up high, hands down low
Wave goodbye, it's time to go.

Won't Brian's friends be impressed! I know I am.

My sister.

Let me tell you a few things I love about my sister, I say a few because I really could go on and on and on ....

1. She is the my parents second favorite daughter!
2. She is the best aunt, my kids adore her.
3. She makes the best strawberry cake EVER.
4. She makes the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies EVER.
5. She always says yes when I want to go eat at the Ranch!
6. She is super cute.
7. She loves Christmas more than any other person I know, she still has her tree up.
8. She can pick up things with her toes, WHAT a blessing!

Hannah, I would like a CD with the following songs on it, please,

Empire State of Mind; Jay-Z & Alicia
I Gotta Feeling; The Black Eyed Pease
Home; Michael Buble
21 Guns; Green Day
Viva La Vida; Cold Play
Lots of Bon Jovi & Elton John
oh and other 'hot' songs you think I need!

Thanks, your favorite sister, Stacie

This Boy.

summer 2008

Last night I went to go tuck in Calvin. I kissed his nose and his cheeks and his neck and tickled him.

I said to him, please don’t grow up because then you won’t let me kiss your nose any more and he promptly told me that yes he would!

I said but some day you are going to get married and move out and he told me that nope he was always going to live here.

I said but you are going to get too big to live in your bedroom and he told me it’s okay he would just bonk his head once in awhile.

I asked him how he was going to make money and he told me he was going to work at Viking Signs and mow my lawn.

I said well I’m glad you are going to make some money, you will need to pay for food & rent and he said that he would give me all his money!

I told him it was a deal and kissed his nose once more! I love that boy!

Girls Night.

Spent a fun day and evening with these ladies:

and these crazy ladies:

me, Angie, Tracy, Hannah, this is us at the Elton John/Billy Joel concert, next we are all headed to Bon Jovi in March. Love those girls in that photo, they are so much fun! Zarie, Ty's girlfriend and Kathie, Tracy's mother in law and Candice Woods also saw the play and went out to dinner with us.

We started the day off by going to see:

Then we met Tyler at Axels Bonfire for dinner where I discovered Crispen hard apple cider, YUM, have I been living under a rock! Super good, going to need to buy some.
Then we headed to Litchfield. We played this game:

This game is a BLAST run out and buy it. Hilarious.

I also discovered my new love:

Dear Cherry UV Vodka,

I love you with ice and diet coke. You taste just like diet cherry coke. Never leave me.

Love, Stacie

What a fun weekend, lots of laughs: Two Tubs, old videos (camera hogs & huge glasses) & standing naked in the window. Can't wait to do it again!

The boat.

Last summer Brian and I had TALKED about that it would be fun to get a boat. End of discussion. Around October/November Brian asked me on several more occasions what I thought about getting a boat. I told him, that it would be fun but a lot of work and that I thought we needed to sell the Mustang first! End of story right?

Fast forward to December 23, 2009, Christmas at my parents house. Brian and Tyler leave to go to Wal-Mart to pick up one last gift. They come back and rummage around for a black garbage bag. They drag the bag into the kitchen and Brian says to me, this is for you. That Brian, always so on top of his Christmas shopping.....So I open up the black plastic garbage bag to find a box containing a boat cover. I looked up at Brian and then back to the box and then back at Brian and then to the box....I was confused. Brian finally says it's for a boat. Well DUH, that much I figured out. He says I bought you a boat. I think I had the wind knocked out of me... Gee thanks, I think is about I could squeak out. Now don't get me wrong, what a great gift right?! But I think big purchases like a BOAT should be made TOGETHER.

Apparently EVERYONE including my so called family and my so called friends knew all about it.

So now that we have it lets hope for a warm summer of boating fun! Oh I don't know any details about the boat except that it looks similar to the picture above, it has seats and a motor!!
